Lower Lingual Holding Arch

The upper and lower Holding Arch Appliance is used to stabilize the position of the molars and anterior incisors (lower only) after phase I treatment. It can be used in conjunction with the Halterman attachment to aid in the eruption of compacted molars. For the lower spurs can also be welded to engage the distal of the laterals as well as adjustment loops. This appliance is manufactured from your 3D scan. The metal framework of this appliance is 3D printed for the most predictable and accurate fit. The simple two appointment process starts with a scan at appointment one and then delivery on the following date. No separators required. Our skilled digital technicians can help you conceptualize a design that provides maximum retention for the appliance. This revolutionary technology will change the way you serve your patients. This appliance can be removable with lingual sheaths or using Wilson™ 3D attachments. If removable is can also be activated in order to obtain molar movements in all planes of space.

Treatment & Care

Clean the upper or lower lingual holding arch appliance every day with toothpaste and a soft toothbrush, morning and night. Encourage the patient to give sufficient time to clean thoroughly around the appliance, gums, teeth, and bands to maintain proper hygiene and prevent inflammation. 3 minutes is recommended.
