The Hybrid and Mini Hybrid Expanders arrive pre-assembled and pre-loaded, ready for use in removable appliances. These expanders do not require patient activation and can be easily integrated into early treatment plans designed to reduce the total number of aligners needed.
Expansion is passive and guided by the built-in nickel-titanium leaf springs. Choose the appropriate model based on the force (600g or 900g) and total expansion needed (4 or 6 mm).
No patient-initiated activation is required.
Materials
Manufactured by Leone Orthodontics (Florence, Italy), the Hybrid Mode Expanders use the same trusted Memoria® leaf spring technology found in the original Leaf RPE. These devices were developed to improve treatment planning efficiency for aligner therapy by offering early-phase expansion without patient activation or compliance challenges.
The nickel-titanium springs deliver low, steady forces that gradually widen the arch before clear aligners are introduced. This helps reduce the need for IPR (interproximal reduction) and lowers the total number of aligners required to reach treatment goals.
